Animals’ emotions – four cute stamps released by Romfilatelia

Romfilatelia issued its next stamp issue dedicated to Fauna, one of the most appreciated topic by the collectors. Entitled “Animals’ Emotions”, this colourful philatelic release reproduces the images of several specimens of fauna, such as the elephant, the dog, the cat, the polar bear, the macaque and the grey seal. The issue was designed by George Ursachi.

The stamp with the face value of Lei 1.60 shows a mother and a polar bear cub. This item stands for tenderness and maternal protection. The macaque (Macaca sylvanus), from the family Cercopithecidae, is shown on the stamp with the face value of Lei 3.10, with a mimic that expresses nostalgia. The friendship and closeness between two species that are renowned for their lack of tolerance for one another are captured in the image the stamp with the face value of Lei 5, featuring three European kittens and a Saint Bernard dog that protects them. The African elephant (Loxodonta africana) is illustrated on the stamp with the face value of Lei 19, at a moment of joy and play, between two baby elephants.
