Norway Post issued a set of two beautiful stamps featuring domestic animals. The first item features Norwegian elkhound puppy that is the perfect pet for experienced dog owners with children. The second stamp shows Norwegian forest cat kitten that is a specific breed of cat from the Scandinavian region of Northern Europe. This beautiful issue was designed by Cecilie Sørgård.
It is estimated that there are around 800,000 households in Norway with at least one pet. Research shows that animals can have a positive impact on people. They help lower people’s blood pressure and pulse. Researchers also claim that dog-lovers and cat-lovers have different personality traits. Cat-owners are more creative and adventurous, but they are also more apprehensive and anxious. Dog-owners, on the other hand, are more extroverted and self-assured, but they are not as willing to take risks.
