Canada Post marks the beginning of spring with two flower stamps!

Canada Post introduced two bright stamps within its popular flower series. The items feature the blossoms of crabapple tree cultivars with a Canadian distinction, the Malus 'Rosseau' and Malus 'Maybride'. These plants were bred by Isabella Preston, Daniel Foster Cameron, and Dexter Reid Sampson. Featuring a beautiful design, this issue is perfect for wedding invitations, greeting cards, etc.

This philatelic release celebrates the beginning of spring and is a great continuation of Canada Post’s annual flower issue. The first item shows  Malus 'Rosseau', bred by a famous ornamental plant breeder Isabella Preston. It was first presented to the public in 1928. The second stamp features the blooming Malus 'Maybride', cultivated by Daniel Foster Cameron and Dexter Reid Sampson. It was first introduced to the public in 1973.

This year’s stamps were created by Sputnik Design Partners Inc. of Toronto and show photos by Mark Olson, with background line illustrations made by Marie-Élaine Cusson.
