Endangered tree frogs featured on Vietnamese stamps

A stamp collection featuring tree frogs was issued by Vietnam post to call attention to the need to protect tree frogs negatively affected by habitat loss, water pollution and excessive hunting.

The tree frog species featured on the stamps are colourful creatures that live in Vietnam's forests near water sources.

The thematic stamps were designed by artists To Minh Trang and Vu Kim Lien in a realistic graphic style with blurred backgrounds intended to highlight the featured species. The images were inspired by materials provided by Dr. Nguyen Thien Tao of the Institute of Ecology and Biological Resources.

Tree frogs are currently endangered due to water pollution and excessive hunting.

Wild Animal Rescue (WAR) and the Viet Nam Post organized a ceremony in HCM City to introduce the stamp collection and call on people to join hands to protect tree frogs.
