Luxembourg issues new Grand Duke Guillaume definitives and a Raiffeisen centenary stamp (10 Feb 2026)

Luxembourg’s POST Philately has a busy date on the calendar: 10 February 2026. The headline item is a new definitive series with a portrait of HRH Grand Duke Guillaume, introduced after the change of throne in October 2025. The set is designed as everyday postage, split into rate letters (L for Luxembourg, E for Europe, and M for the world) and also covers services such as registered mail and acknowledgement of receipt (R and AR).

For collectors, the “ordinary” part is exactly the point. The domestic L50g value is priced at €1.20 and printed in large quantities (100,000). It comes in a compact format (24 × 27.66 mm) and is meant to be easy to spot in real mail, not just in albums.

The second highlight is a €1.20 commemorative marking 100 years of Banque Raiffeisen. The stamp ties back to the cooperative model that grew in Luxembourg in the 1920s and later evolved into the modern bank brand. Technically, it’s a larger design (48.75 × 38.15 mm), issued in sheets of 10, with a 30,000 print run—much tighter than the definitive.

The same day also brings two more €1.20 commemoratives: 10 years of Microlux and the 150th anniversary of the municipality of Schifflange.
