Monaco Post celebrates Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival with a stamp

Monaco Post has prepared for released a special stamp to celebrate the 43rd Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival that will take place from 17 to 27 January 2019. This is the largest and most prestigious circus event in the world that allures a great number of tourists every year. Designed by Alain Andre, the stamp features a lion, which is one of the stars of the festival`s performances. The Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival, presided over by H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie, is taking each year on a great challenge: to honour tradition, promote creativity and continue to attract audiences with acts that are more breathtaking than ever!  This year over 150 artistes from 15 countries will compete in the famous ring of the Fontvieille big top to win the most sought after prizes in the World of circus: the Gold, Silver and Bronze Clowns which reward their careers. The festival will also present to visitor’s attention the Royal Circus from Russia, as well as the National Acrobatic Troupe of China. Martin Lacey will present his unique new lion act, a wonderful and astonishing demonstration of partnership between the trainer and his animals. The 43rd Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival promises to be even more breathtaking than ever!
