Stamp issue for Canada Post Community Foundation

Stamp issue for Canada Post Community Foundation

FindYourStampsValue.com is glad to inform that Canada Post is to issue a new set of stamps to gather the donations for Canada Post Community Foundation. The aim of this organization is to help improve the lives of children in Canada. The stamp issue will be available from 29th of September.

The 10-cent surcharge on each stamp is a direct donation to the Canada Post Community Foundation, which supports volunteers, and local and national non-profit groups that work to deliver a brighter future for Canada's children. The foundation focuses "on supporting children's charities and school programs — including organizations that provide mental health initiatives aimed at youth", according to Canada Post.

Canada's new semipostal shows a photograph of five children standing in a large sailboat made of folded paper. A little girl at left is holding a teddy bear. A girl at right is looking through binoculars.

The stamp is inscribed "Canada Post Community Foundation" in English and in French.
