Royal Mail Sets 13 January 2026 Release for Stranger Things Stamps

Royal Mail Sets 13 January 2026 Release for Stranger Things Stamps

Royal Mail has included a Stranger Things commemorative issue in its 2026 stamp program, with the official release scheduled for Tuesday, 13 January 2026. On the Royal Mail Shop website, the full range is marked as “available from 13 January,” and a pre-order option is open, allowing buyers to secure items ahead of the release date.

For most collectors and regular postal users, the main entry point is the Stranger Things Stamp Set. This standard set contains ten First Class stamps and is priced at £17.00. Each stamp is produced in a square format measuring 35 mm by 35 mm. Design attribution is credited to Interabang, while printing is handled by Cartor Security Printers, a long-standing contractor for Royal Mail’s contemporary stamp issues.

The artwork for the series was commissioned from British illustrator Kyle Lambert. The ten designs are arranged across two sheets of five stamps: one sheet features red-toned backgrounds symbolizing the story’s “real world,” while the second uses blue backgrounds to depict the parallel dimension known as the Upside Down.

To complete the issue, Royal Mail has released a standalone miniature sheet. Priced at £6.80, the Stranger Things Miniature Sheet brings together four First Class stamps, split between two square designs and two in portrait orientation. It has been listed for sale since 13 January. The illustration focuses on the younger Hawkins group—Lucas, Will, Mike, and Dustin—shown riding their bikes while the Mind Flayer looms above them, making this sheet the most visually concentrated depiction of the main characters in the release. In Royal Mail catalogues, the miniature sheet is recorded under code MZ217.

Royal Mail adds a technical collector hook: selected designs include hidden elements that appear under UV light (for example, show-related logos). You can confirm the UV-only details at home with a small handheld UV torch. It is not an abstract “collector feature” but a practical check anyone can do in a minute: shine the light and see which elements appear. That makes the issue easy to talk about in concrete terms, because the extra layer is measurable and repeatable rather than a matter of taste about the illustration.

If you want to stay strictly within stamp products, Royal Mail lists several additional formats under the same release. Alongside the standard set, there is a Collectors Sheet priced at £18.20, plus Character Packs offered in two versions: stamps (£17.30) and the miniature sheet (£7.10). For buyers who prefer larger-format items, Royal Mail also offers press sheets at £54.40. In practice, the simplest “complete” combination for most collectors remains the ten-stamp First Class set together with the four-stamp miniature sheet. Taken as a pair, they cover all fourteen First Class designs from the Stranger Things issue in regular Royal Mail stamp formats, suitable for album pages, trading, and everyday mailing.
