According to info received by FindYourStampsValue.com BH POŠTA issued a commemorative postage stamp, which is devoted to the 150th anniversary of the publication of one of the most popular children's books "Alice in Wonderland". The item was released and put into circulation on the 30th of June.

The magical story of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland has fired the imagination of children – and adults – for 150 years.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (commonly shortened to Alice in Wonderland) is an 1865 novel written by English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll. It tells of a girl named Alice falling through a rabbit hole into a fantasy world populated by peculiar, anthropomorphic creatures.

The tale plays with logic, giving the story lasting popularity with adults as well as with children. It is considered to be one of the best examples of the literary nonsense genre. Its narrative course and structure, characters and imagery have been enormously influential in both popular culture and literature, especially in the fantasy genre.

The fantasy world of mad hatters, rabbit holes and secret doors has inspired a host of adaptations, including a Disney movie in 1951, with another in the pipeline, and a dark version from the mind of director Tim Burton.
