Capturing the Republic’s past – Singapore’s Vanishing Trades stamps

December 4th, 2014 is glad to inform that Singapore Post issued a series of definitive stamps that capture the Republic's past. The series, named Vanishing Trades, depicts Singapore's vanishing trades such as cage makers, garland makers, kite makers and Chinese calligraphers.

The stamps bear testimonies to growing and building of yesteryear Singapore and are part of the nation's rich cultural heritage. This is the second edition of the Vanishing Trades series. The first edition was released in October 2013, featuring 10 different designs, including the dairy man, beaded slippers maker and kachang puteh seller.
