Christmas Greetings from Greenland is glad to inform that Greenland became the next country to have issued a set of stamps celebrating the upcoming Christmas. Lisbeth Karline is the lady artist who has created the Christmas stamp-images that celebrate the popular televised Christmas transmission: 'Christmas Greetings from Greenland'. The issue was released on the 20th of October.

Artist Lisbeth Karline has created the designs for this year's Christmas stamps of Greenland. She commented on her work and the Christmas in Greenland itself:

"There is nothing better than the show 'Christmas Greetings to Greenland'. Once the DR's Big Band rolls over the screen, the Christmas mood is spreading. We see friends and acquaintances in the show which sends greetings to the North. When the Aavaat choir is singing, then it goes straight to the heart. For me, 'Christmas Greetings to Greenland' is about remembering the year that has passed. Time passes sometimes so quickly - so it is just great to get an hour to reflect on who I miss, what I am thankful for and who I spend Christmas with.

To Christmas belongs the good old-fashioned postcard – together with a Christmas stamp. E-mail and Facebook are just not the same as receiving a Christmas card from someone who is close to one. With these stamps, I hope that you will be happy to send mail to people you care about, no matter where they are in the world. Merry Christmas and loving greetings".
