International Anti-Corruption Day celebrated by Pakistan Post
FindYourStampsValue.com got to know that Pakistan Post released a commemorative stamp with an anti-corruption message on it. The item was put into circulation during a special ceremony that took place on the 9th of December.
International Anti-corruption Day was launched in 2003 by the General Assembly of the United Nations as a way of raising awareness of corruption and highlighting the role of the United Nations Convention against Corruption in combating and preventing it.
Since the day was first held, the day’s organizers, the United Nations Development Programme and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, say intolerance towards corruption has grown, evidenced by the increasing number of politicians and chief executives who are being tried and convicted for the crime.
