Lego Toys stamps for EUROPA stamp competition


According to info got by the EUROPA theme for 2015 will be 'Old Toys' and Denmark are set to kick start. Denmark will issue two Lego Toys stamps on the 2d of January, 2015. The two stamps are part of the 2015 Europa series with the common theme of old toys.

Each year POST EUROP, the trade association that represents European public postal operators, announces a different stamp theme, inviting European philatelic bureaux to issue one set of stamps on the theme during the year.

Issued on 2 January, Post Danmark's two lego stamps each show a lego minifigure, with the value and country name written on the side of lego bricks.

A spokesperson for Post Danmark said: 'The LEGO Group is the biggest toy manufacturer in Europe and a global market leader for construction toys. The stamps have been designed by Post Danmark Stamps and printed in offset.'
