Having stood on the top step of the podium seven times in previous years, at World Championships, Winter Olympics and World Cup events, last winter season Peter Pervc laid down new milestones in ski jumping and ski flying. To mark the achievements of this great sportsman Slovenia Post has put on sale a bright stamp depicting Peter Prevc at the moment of glory. would like to recommend to our readers this originally designed philatelic item.

Peter Prevc's achievements: world champion in ski flying, winner of the 64th Four Hills Tournament, winner of the Ski Flying World Cup and winner of the Ski Jumping World Cup with a record 15 victories and a total of 2,303 points!

But his achievements also go beyond the world of sport: he is a well-rounded personality whose public image is an example to all generations, at home and around the world, of how athletes and people in general should carry themselves.

Skiing and ski jumping have a long tradition in Slovenia. Planica is the cradle of ski jumping and ski flying. With its new Nordic Centre, crowned by this year's final event, to which Peter Pervc contributed an important share, it has laid down a historic milestone of global dimensions and brought glory to ski jumping and to Slovenia.

With this stamp, Peter Pervc also gains the recognition of the philatelic world, joining Gregor Schlierenzauer, Wolfgang Loitzl, Thomas Morgenstern, Matti Nykänen, Adam Małysz and others who already have their own stamps.
