Russian Post celebrates Putin`s inauguration. A special stamp presented to collectors` attention is to announce that Russian Post has presented to collectors` attention a special stamp to celebrate Putin`s 4th  inauguration. The inscription on this bright philatelic item says: “On May 7, 2018, V.V. Putin took office as President of the Russian Federation”. The stamp also depicts the Kremlin’s Spasskaya Tower, or Savior Tower, and the Kremlin Senate.

Putin was re-elected as president in April. His inauguration ceremony was held on 7th May at the Kremlin Grand Palace. Three lavishly decorated grand halls – the Georgievsky, Aleksandrovsky, and Andreevsky, which form enfilade – were used for the event.

With a nominal value of 22 rubles, the 2018 presidential stamp will cost more than its 2012 and 2008 iterations, which charged 15 and 7 rubles respectively.

Philatelists and stamp collectors have an opportunity to create thematic envelopes and get them stamped with a specially designed mark at Moscow and St. Petersburg.
