Thailand Post celebrates Princess Sirindhorn’s 60th birthday with a special stamp issue

According to info received by Thailand Post Company Limited in collaboration with the Foundation of King Rama IX, The Great, unveiled a commemorative stamp set for the auspicious celebration of the 60th birthday anniversary of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The issue was released and put into circulation on the 4th of April.

This year's commemorative stamp set used lithographic printing and hot stamping foil in order to create the royal emblem designed in purple, along with a portrait of Her Royal Highness.

The stamp has also integrated Augmented Reality (AR) Technology. The public can install the StampAlive application available on both Android and iOS devices to scan the stamp and see a special 2.5-minute video.

Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn is the second daughter of King Bhumibol Adulyadej. As the eldest female child of the royal family (excluding Ubol Ratana, who married a foreign commoner), her position is comparable to a princess royal.
