New issue in honor of "National Team of Mexico"

The Mexico National Team was formed in 1923. Its first participation in an international event took place in the Olympic Games in Amsterdam 1928. The first world championship was played in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1930, where Mexico faced France in the opening match. The national football teams are separated into two branches, male and female, in turn divided into different categories.

Among the most notable achievements of the Soccer Teams are the Confederations Cup Championship in 1999; the Gold Medal obtained at the 2012 London Olympics; two U-17 FIFA championships in 2005 and 2011; six CONCACAF Gold Cups and others. For the World Cup to be held in Brazil in 2014, the Technical Director Miguel Herrera has summoned the following the best team players.

In order to promote and spread this kind of sport, the Mexican Postal Service, Correos de Mexico, issued a commemorative postage stamp called "National Team of Mexico" which illustrates the image of Javier Hernandez, front; Miguel Layún advocacy; Rafael Marquez, defense; Carlos Peña, midfielder and striker Oribe Peralta.
