As the sun rises on Australia's Army personnel around the globe, they are united by a small yet significant piece of military tradition: the Rising Sun badge.
Australia Post honours this badge and its importance to the Australian Army, releasing five stamps depicting the changes in the Rising Sun badge design since it was first issued in 1902.
The stamp issue features five of the badge's key design changes - the first, third, fifth, sixth and seventh design iterations.
