900th Years of "Primary Chronicle" stamp from Ukraine

Ukrainian post issued a postage block with one stamp "900 years of "Primary Chronicle".

The Primary Chronicle is a history of Kievan Rus' from about 850 to 1110, originally compiled in Kiev about 1113. The work is considered to be a fundamental source in the interpretation of the history of the Eastern Slavs. The original compilation was long considered to be the work of a monk named Nestor and hence was formerly referred to as Nestor's Chronicle or Nestor's manuscript.

The stamp depicts Nestor (author of the chronicle) during his work, block background features the events described in the chronicle.
