Austria Post honors Adriana Czernin with an artistic stamp!

Austria Post released an artistic stamp depicting one of the brightest works of a famous Austrian artist Adriana Czernin. She was born in 1969 in Sofia and now she lives and works in Vienna and Rettenegg. The focus of the artist’s masterpieces is original ornaments. The stamp is being issued as a part of the Postal Service’s “Young art in Austria” series.

Adriana Czernin is well-known for large-format graphite and colored-pencil drawings made in pastel and appealing colors, with frequent usage of red and pink shades. The model in her pictures is often embedded in floral patterns and lattice-like structures. The artist pays much attention to details, and her drawings seem to have a three-dimensional format. The stamp shows Czernin’s work “Untitled” made in 2004. This bright piece of art is performed in graphite and colored pencils on paper in a size of 45 by 62.5 centimeters. The artist is represented by the Galerie Martin tanda in Vienna, where her pictures are exhibited on the regular basis. Nowadays Czernon prefers creating her masterpieces in geometric rather than floral patterns.
