British Racing Greats Set and Sheets

British Racing Greats Set and Sheets

The Isle of Man has played an important part in the development of motor car racing and has been the venue for some of the most exciting and noteworthy road races.

The Gordon Bennett Trials were held on Manx roads in 1904 as a result of the Manx parliament being able and willing to authorise road closures.

This set of stamps and miniature sheet originate from specially commissioned artwork by two of the finest exponents of the genre of motorsport art, IOM based artists Peter Hearsey and Nick Sykes.

The stamps are printed in sheets of 25 for each value.
