Estonia Post issued a special WRC Rally Estonia stamp!

WRC Rally Estonia 2020 is the biggest motorsport event in the Baltics held for the 10th time is an official round of FIA World Rally Championship for the first time in history. It is held on 4-6 September on the roads of Tartu, Otepää, Elva, Kanepi and Kambja. This year Estonia is the 33rd country to host the WRC rally championship.

In honor of this special event, Estonia Post introduced a special stamp that depicts the 2019 world champions Ott Tänak and Martin Järveoja and their Toyota Yaris WRC rally car with which they won Rally Estonia last year. The first day cover depicts the last year’s Rally Estonia 5th place finishers Craig Breen and Paul Nagle and their Hyundai i20 WRC car. Tänak and Järveoja are said to drive a similar car this year.

COVID-19 pandemic has changed a lot and organizing a WRC round is a different challenge. However, people involved in the WRC rally championship arrangements, have made everything to meet all the COVID-19 rules enforced at the time.
