On the occasion of Queen Elizabeth II's 95th birthday Guernsey Post created a commemorative stamp issue devoted to various aspects of Her Majesty’s life. The stamps feature the memorable moments from the Queen’s childhood to her service as the longest-reigning monarch in British history. 11 postal administrations will design similar stamp issues to congratulate the Queen on her birthday.
The first stamp depicts ten-year-old Princess Elizabeth and her corgi Dookie. The second item shows Her Majesty The Queen on the day of her Coronation at Buckingham Palace in 1953. The third stamp features Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh at the Olympic Horse Trials, which took place at Badminton in 1952.
The fourth stamp shows The Queen when presenting the Gold Cup trophy to Frankie Dettori after his win with Stradivarius in 2016. The next item shows Princess Elizabeth representing the King at the Trooping of the Colours ceremony. And the last stamp illustrates Her Majesty when visiting a Service of Thanksgiving to mark the 70th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day at Westminster Abbey in London in 2015.
