Jersey Post honors Prince Philip with six special stamps!

Jersey Post released a set of six commemorative stamps to honor the life and legacy of His Royal Highness, Prince Philip who is regarded as one of the UK’s longest-serving consort. He died at Windsor Castle on 9 April at the age of 99. His death was announced by Buckingham Palace, which claimed that he passed away peacefully.

The stamps were designed by Osborne Ross Design and show the remarkable selection of black and grey photos featuring some of the most important aspects of his life. The issue marks the long years of Duke’s services for the UK. The stamps depict His Royal Highness as a global ambassador, horseman, supporter of the industry, military dignitary, sportsman, and royal consort. The life of The Duke of Edinburgh was really illustrious. Besides, Prince Philip supported more than 780 organizations, visited numerous charity engagements and other similar events.

 “The Duke of Edinburgh served the Crown and Britain dutifully for decades and we are honoured to be able to pay tribute to his life of service through these commemorative stamps,” comments Tim Brown, Jersey Post’s Chief Executive Officer.
