Monaco post issued a funny stamp dedicated to Marsupilami, comic strips characters popular in Monaco.

Before experiencing its own adventures in Palombia and being the hero of a comic strips series, Marsupilami was a spin-off character from the famous "Spirou and Fantasio" series written by André Franquin. He first appeared in 1952. A real scientific enigma, Marsupilami is gifted with an Herculean strength and an incredibly long but useful tail. Marsupilami is a strong supporter of the tropical forest. The stamp features the entire Marsupilami family.
