Especially in bereavement it is crucial to get personal letters with the expresses compassion and human grief. The special program launched in Germany offers stamps for special reasons having a wide variety of motives. This year a special postage stamp dedicated to bereavement was issued in Germany. This funeral stamp can be used both by the mourners themselves, and by those who want to offer their condolences in letter.

As a motif of the stamp Calla flower is chosen. The white Calla is symbolic of mourning and solidarity with the grieving people. The black bar at the bottom of the stamp underlines its symbolic meaning.
