In the nearest days the central event in the Japanese Yamaguchi Prefecture is the traditional National Land Afforestation. The 63rd national tree-planting ceremony will be held on May, 27 in the Yamaguchi city. The Furusato stamps have been issued to commemorate this event. The stamps feature species typical for the Yamaguchi prefecture: Camphor tree, Japanese maple, Ginkgo biloba, Camellia japonica, Natsumikan (Summer Tangerine), Japanese Red pine, Rapeseed, Japanese cypress, Japanese beech, Sakura.
