Baby & Nepal Association

On 12th July 2013, H.S.H. Princess Stephanie of Monaco founded the Baby & Nepal Association in order to support two elephants who escaped being put down thanks to Her fervent commitment.

H.S.H. Princess Stephanie had a 3,500 m2 park built on the Fonbonne estate and continues to care passionately for these forty-year-old pachyderms.

National Species: The Carob Tree

The carob tree, or ceratonia siliqua, is found naturally within the Principality. In this sense, it is Monaco’s national tree.

The stamp depicts some of the tree’s morphological features, such as its leaves, its flower and its fruit, the carob.
