Pioneering Women of Israel on stamps

These stamps dedicated to singer Bracha Zefira and businesswoman Batia Makov show the portraits painted by Rutie El Hanan.

The Bracha Zefira stamp tab features a section of the sheet music for the song "If Doors were Locked" (folk tune, lyrics by Shalom Shabazi).

The Batia Makov stamp tab features a refinished photograph of Yaakov Street in Rehovot, circa 1892, courtesy of the Rehovot Historical Archive.
