Six “24 Solar Terms - Spring" stamps released by Hong Kong Post!

Hong Kong Post released  a set of six stamps in "24 Solar Terms - Spring" series that presents the ambience of the six solar terms for spring, namely "Spring Commences", "Spring Showers", "Insects Waken", "Vernal Equinox", "Bright and Clear" and "Corn Rain". This set of stamps in a first-ever semi-circular shape is released in celebration of the Spring season, which starts on this particular day in the Chinese calendar.

The six stamps each depict one of the 24 Solar Terms in the Chinese Calendar, and include the commencement of Spring on the 4th of February, Spring showers on February 19th, The awakening of the insects on March 5th, the Vernal Equinox on March 20th, The Clear and Bright period with noticeably warmer weather which starts on April 4th, and finally the Corn Rain, where the first sprouts of the early crops start showing through the soil, which begins on April 19th.

The stamps are joined together in pairs, with each stamp consisting of a half circle, creating three perfect circles with the six stamps. The stamps are kept simple in their expression, with only one color used for each stamp, and the design being made with the gradients instead of colors.
