Stamp Issuing Plan for Iceland 2014

December 25th, 2013 presents a new stamp issuing plan for the coming year 2014 from Iceland.

In January the following stamps are to be issued:
- Eimskip, Shipping Company, 100th Anniversary;
- Statistics Iceland 100th Anniversary;
- Icelandic Eagle. Protected species as of January 1st 2014;
- Tourist stamp III. The Sjalfberg Rock in Arneshreppur and the Kviat Glacier.

March issues will be dedicated to:
- Icelandic design V. Architecture: Hofsos swimming pool, Akureyri Park Coffee house, Borgarfjordur High School;
- Reykjavik Footbridge;
- Nordic stamps. The North by the Sea III. Ships at Sea;
- Europa 2014. Instruments: Stoneharp and magnetic harp.

The following stamps are planned for May:
- Town festivals in Iceland II. Hofn Lobster Festival, Siglufjordur Herring Adventure, Reykjanesbaer Night of Lights, Stykkisholmur Danish Days, Reykjavik Culture Hight;
- Parks V. The Pavilion Garden, Sepac stamp and the Klamtun park;
- Icelandic Stern trawlers;
- Icelandic multi-purpose trawlers.

September issue:
- Lighthouses IV. The Dyrholaey lighthouse and the Akranes lighthouse;
- Joint issue Iceland-Denmark. Icelandic Manuscripts from the Arni Magnusson collection;
- Day of the Stamp 2014. 150th anniversary of the building of the Flatey library, one of the oldest public libraries in Iceland.

The philatelic year will be closed by the November issue:
- Icelandic Visual Arts V. Life in the city;
- Christmas stamps 2014.
