The 41st Limited Sale of Kelleher and Rogers: Asian Stamps and Postal Items

This sale will give the buyers a chance to purchase various Chinese postal items (Classic period of China and People's Republic). Below is Dr. Sun Yat-sen $2 stamp with center inverted error (Sun Yat-sen - Chinese revolutionary statesman, physician, and political philosopher) This stamp was originally issued with an error in 1941. This is one of the top rarities of all the Chinese philately. There have been only one sheet of 50 of these stamps ever issued with the inverted center. The item is also considered to belong to the "Four Treasures of the Republic."

Gateway, Hall of classics, Peking $2 stampGateway, Hall of classics, Peking $2 stamp in blue & black, 1st first printing of Beijing, has a center that is inverted, wide margins, and significant portions of original adhesive. While this rare specimen may contain some hinge remains and a slight horizontal crease, it is still a prime illustration of its kind.
