New Estonian stamp on St. Valentine’s Day features red roses!

Estonia Post released a beautiful stamp to celebrate the upcoming St. Valentine's Day. The item shows red roses that form the shape of a heart and is perfect for attaching to romantic letters or greeting cards. A bright and appealing design of the stamp makes it perfect for congratulating with other holidays, including Mothers’ Day (9 May), Grandparents’ Day (12 September) and Fathers’ Day (14 November), etc.

The history of roses goes back a long way. According to archaeological data, this flower has existed on Earth for about 25 million years. It is mentioned in countless legends. In many cultures, the rose is considered as the queen of flowers and is an object of admiration and worship, a symbol of passionate love. Roses were also a symbol of beauty and love in Ancient Greece. Therefore, they are one of the most popular flowers to be gifted to loved ones on Valentine’s Day. In addition to the flowers, the stamp features the phrase “Parimad soovid!” /Best wishes/.
