FindYourStampsValue.com was launched in 2001. Our mission is to make information about the cost of stamps accessible for everyone, even if they do not have a special knowledge of philately, and to be more convenient for professional collectors than traditional catalogues.

In order to achieve it, we present all the key philatelic terms in our Helpful Terms and Glossary sections. Moreover, we have created the StampWiki section, where we write about the most interesting facts from the world of stamps, and provide regular updates in the StampNews section.

A key element of our service is the stamp search, which allows us to find the right stamp or its variation in one minute, without having any philatelic knowledge of the subject and without buying dozens of catalogues. Originally working as a simple text-based search engine, the catalogue became even more convenient in 2017, being the first one in the world to allow stamp search using computer vision and neural networks technologies.

At present, the website contains information about stamps from all major countries over the world and this list is constantly being updated. At the same time, we are working to make the search even faster and more convenient and hope that we can be of use to anyone who wants to learn more about their stamps.

Philately expert with over 15 years of experience, specializing in identifying and assessing rare stamps.

Started to deal with stamps, as a hobby as a young man, quickly became an expert first on the U.S. stamps, then on the stamps of the UK and several other countries. Possesses great knowledge of the philately market.

In 2001, established his own company, specializing in stamp evaluation. In 2004, he became the owner of StampNews.com and worked with a team of enthusiasts to promote stamp collecting. He organized regular ratings of stamps of world post offices, and also interviewed US Postmaster General.

In 2004, he launched FindYourStampsValue.com and is currently its CEO.

Alexios Basileus

CTO, Over 15 years of professional experience

His maternal grandfather was a Lieutenant Colonel of the Space Forces at Baikonur Cosmodrome responsible for organizing a philatelic club among other tasks. He organized the creation of the first stamps dedicated to man's travel to outer space. Those were the first stamps to have visited the circumterrestrial orbit.

Since the early childhood, his grandfather has cultivated Alexios’s interest in philately and technical sciences. He was majoring in computer science at university. Since then was involved in various projects. In 2016 was invited to a join FindYourStampsValue.com philatelic project as CTO, as a person, who understands stamp collectors’ needs and knows how to meet them from a technical point of view.

Theodor Beloy

When offered to join FindYourStampsValue.com Theodor was inspired by company’s mission — to make stamps collecting available to everyone – and astonished by its unique products. Started as an external expert, he soon began to generate ideas in every site’s aspect from page optimization, in order to make it faster and more usable, ending up with technical areas, contributing a new point of view to the other team members. Now he is responsible for promoting the website as a CMO. His goal is to make the site as unique, remarkable and simple as possible — so that each of the 7 billion people on the planet would be able to find it in no time at all, if necessary.

Deeply interested in rare philatelic items, auctions and sales

As a teenager, Helga was interested in many subjects, but philately and stamp collecting were her favorite ones. Her interest in stamps was sparked by her grandfather, who was an avid stamps collector. Once she graduated from school and entered the University, her fascination with stamps grew into a great interest and a serious hobby. She loves doing research on the most unusual and rarest stamps, to reveal the stories behind them. Nothing gives her more satisfaction than discovering some rare stamps she would gladly include into her collection. Helga is fond of communicating with reputable philatelic experts, who willingly pass their knowledge and experience onto her. This gives her an excellent insight into the market value of stamps and helps her to find out which stamps are popular and highly sought after.

It supports and develops the website, provides access to the most innovative technologies, brings to life new opportunities that meet our customers' needs. Responsible for the convenience and quality of the text search.

Philatelic expert team

Help our customers with stamp identification and assessment in difficult cases. Despite the fact that we try to provide the most convenient self-service experience, some stamps have to be checked manually. Usually this service costs from 5 to 10 USD per stamp, but we offer it free of charge within the subscription - this is what the team of experts does.

Stamp Database team

Our largest department responsible for filling and updating the stamp database. They search for information  on stamps, including their high quality images, average value and latest sell prices.

Search team

Experts in applied mathematics, developing the photo search of stamps. Responsible for the speed and quality on the photo search engine and its new features.
