A century and a half of helping animals. Eight touching stamps introduced by Jersey Post
FindYourStampsValue.com hurries to announce that Jersey Post has prepared for issuing a set of eight touching stamps celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Jersey Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (JSPCA). Each of the stamps illustrates just some of the invaluable services provided by this long-serving Jersey charity. These services include: Ambulance, Welfare Investigation, Education, Boarding, Lost and Found, Re-homing etc.
In 1868 the Jersey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals' (JSPCA) was founded and Miss Frances Elizabeth Wilson established the Jersey Animals' Shelter itself in 1913. This is non-profit organization that cares for unwanted, sick, lost, aged, companion animals and Island wildlife. The JSPCA Animals' Shelter provides a range of services relating to animal care and welfare, offering help and advice for all members of the public. The aim of this great community is to fight against cruelty to animals and promote all aspects of animal welfare.
We also invite our readers to appreciate other cute and touching stamps depicting wild as well as domestic animals.
