Armenia Post celebrates the 32nd Summer Olympic Games with a stamp!

HayPost issued a special stamp dedicated to the theme “Sport. 32nd Summer Olympic Games “Tokyo-2020””.  This sporting event should have happened in 2020 but was postponed due to a pandemic. The item shows an athlete holding the Olympic torch as well as the symbols of Japan such as Mount Fuji, the red sun, and a branch of sakura. The stamp also features the inscription “XXXII SUMMER OLYMPIC GAMES” in the Armenian language.

The Tokyo Olympics were supposed to take place from July 24 to August 9, 2020, but due to the pandemic, the competitions were postponed for a year and will take place from July 23 to August 8, 2021. However, the name of the Games "Tokyo 2020" will be retained. At the games, 11,090 athletes may compete in 339 events in 33 sports. Five new sports have been included at the Olympics. The events will take place around the center of the megalopolis and around Tokyo Bay.
