Correos released an original stamp from a popular among philatelists “Graphic Humor” philatelic series. This year the issue is devoted to Mikel Urmeneta who was named as one of the 100 most creative people in the world by Forbes magazine in 2017. The stamp features an illustration by the artist, which represents the protagonist of the fable of Little Red Riding Hood who walks the hand of the little blue wolf featured on a block sheet.

Mikel Urmenta is the founder and creative director of Katuki Saguyaki. His creative work is dedicated to poster design and muralism in which he implemented a range of innovative techniques such as the tilt brush, a Google application for making 3D graphic works with virtual reality device HTC VIVE. One of the artist’s most famous pieces of art is the poster Urmenta designed for the San Fermín festivities in 1990. His other popular works were also created for promoting various festivals. Another field Mikel Urmenta is active in is photography.
