FindYourStampsValue.com is excited to share the preview of the upcoming auction that will be conducted by Harmer-Schau Auction Galleries in association with the Pipex stamp show in Portland, Ore. Foreign and British Commonwealth single lots start the sale including Canada and Great Britain. The U.S. section will consist of more than 330+ lots which are parts of the famous collections. British Commonwealth and Foreign country collections are highlighted by Great Britain, Canada, China, and Germany, followed by 100 lots of Foreign and Worldwide general collections with postal history. The star of this sale is a rare used block of four of the 1920 imperforate offset 2¢ carmine George Washington stamp. The block is double struck with Chicago, Ill., cancel, and is described as extremely fine with a light vertical crease at right. It is considered that this block is the largest multiply for this issue. The catalogue value of this lot is $7,250 and Harmer-Schau suggests an estimate of $4,000 for this block, with an opening bid of $3,250.
