Special issue of Brasilian Post dedicated to International Year of Family Farming

The Post Office launch on Thursday, the 12h of June, during a solemn session in the plenary of the Senate, the Special Issue: 2014 International Year of Family Farming. The launch is a partnership with the Ministry of Agrarian Development (MDA) and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and is part of the celebrations of the International Year of Family Farming.

The issue is two se-tenant stamps, focusing on farmer’s workday intended for food production. On the bottom left, is the official logo of the 2014 International Year of Family Farming. Techniques used are painting with acrylic paint and ink on canson paper. The run is 900 thousand stamps with a face value of U.S. $ 1.50.

The ceremony will be attended by the Vice President of Business, Morgana Cristina Santos, and the head of department of Philately and Products (DEFIP), Jairton Mendes Cruz and other honorable guests.
