1878 Queen Victoria £1 brown lilac stamp is one the scarcest Victorian issues, ensuring plenty of interest among stamp collectors. It features a profile of Queen Victoria  who served as the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 20 June 1837 until her death. On 1 May 1876, she adopted the additional title of Empress of India. 1878 Queen Victoria £1 brown lilac stamp offered by Cherrystone is a very fine example of this major unused rarity from Great Britain. It features excellent rich color, intact and sharp perforations all around, well centered for issue. The lot is accompanied with 1992 Diena and 1993 Brandon certificates.
