5. Art Professions, Mosaicist stamp / Métiers d’Art Mosaïste (Release: January 12, 2024)
On January 15, 2024, La Poste will issue a new stamp in the Métiers d'art series initiated in 2016. After many other professions displayed on stamps, it is the know-how of the mosaicist who is in the spotlight.
The stamp is illustrated in the foreground by hands in action with a mosaic pliers and in the background a motif from the mosaic of the Verdurier Pavilion in Limoges.

For over 20 years, La Poste has celebrated Valentine's Day by releasing a series of new stamps that allow you to send love wherever you wish. 7. André Franquin (1924 - 1997) commemorative stamp (Release: January 29, 2024)
André Franquin was a renowned Belgian cartoonist and animator, best known for his work in the comic series "Gaston Lagaffe." Franquin was born on January 3, 1924, in Brussels and became one of the most significant figures in the world of comics during the 20th century. His artistic style featured dynamic characters and elaborate gags, often infused with a touch of surrealism.
In addition to "Gaston," he also created the beloved "Spirou and Fantasio" series, contributing to its popularity with his innovative storytelling. Franquin's influence continues to be felt in the comic industry today, inspiring countless artists and delighting fans around the world.
8. Chinese New Year stamp — The Year of the Dragon Nouvel An Chinois — Année du Dragon (Release: January 29, 2024)
In 2024, France released a stamp with the Dragon as a symbol of this year. The picture is performed on the dark-red background along with Chinese hieroglyphics. It's possible to buy a souvenir sheet with 4 stamps and a big picture of the Dragon.
