13. POKÉMON stamp (Release: February 28, 2024)

The Pokémon cartoon, also known as "Pokémon: The Animated Series," follows the adventures of Ash Ketchum and his Pokémon companions as they travel through various regions to become Pokémon Masters.

With an emphasis on friendship, teamwork, and the bond between trainers and their Pokémon, the series has captivated audiences around the world since its debut in the late 1990s.

On February 27, 2024, La Poste issued a stamp from the youth series featuring Pikachu, one of the most iconic Pokémon. This stamp was previewed on Pokémon Day, February 27, 2024, alongside a collector's set of four stamps.

Every year, France celebrates Stamp Day to promote philately and highlight new stamp issues. Stamp enthusiasts gather during special events to exchange collections and discover the latest philatelic creations. On the occasion of the stamp festival, workshops are organized to introduce children to the collection and the history of stamps. In 2024, the topic of Stamp Day is recreational boating.

15. Julie-Victoire Daubié, 1824–1874 stamp (Release: March 11, 2024)

On March 11, 2024, La Poste issued a stamp bearing the effigy of Julie-Victoire Daubié, the first woman to obtain a bachelor's degree in 1861. She was a French teacher and activist for women's rights in the 1800s.

Daubié was the first woman in France to earn a baccalauréat in 1861, which helped open doors for girls' education. She fought for equal education and job opportunities for women.

During her lifetime, Julie-Victoire wrote many articles promoting women's rights and the importance of their roles in society. Her work still inspires efforts for gender equality today.

Every year, an exhibition of rare and historical stamps attracts collectors from all over the world, making the stamp festival an unmissable event for postal art lovers.
