La Poste issued a stamp to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. Charles de Gaulle Airport, located just outside Paris, is one of the largest and busiest airports in Europe. It serves as a for both domestic and international flights, connecting millions of travelers every year.

Opened in 1974, the airport is named after the French statesman Charles de Gaulle, who played a crucial role in France's post-World War II recovery.

La Poste issued a booklet of twelve postage stamps, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Impressionism, illustrated by masterpieces of this artistic movement. Impressionism originated in France at the end of the 19th century. It was a real revolution in art, capturing the effects of light and color.

This is a commemorative stamp of Eugène Ionesco who was a Romanian-French playwright born on November 26, 1909, in Slatina, Romania.  He is best known as one of the foremost figures of the Theater of the Absurd, a genre that explores the meaningless nature of human existence. His most famous works include "The Bald Soprano" and "Rhinocéros," which highlight the absurdity of communication and conformity in society.

Ionesco’s writing often reflects his skepticism toward established norms and conventions, employing humor and surrealism to convey deeper philosophical themes.

Agnès Varda was a pioneering French filmmaker, born on May 30, 1928, in Brussels, Belgium.  She is often associated with the French New Wave movement, although she developed her unique style that blended documentary and fiction. Her most acclaimed works include "Cléo from 5 to 7", which showcase incredible storytelling and visualization.

Varda was not just a director. She also performed as a photographer as well as visual artist, utilizing her diverse skills. She received an honorary Oscar in 2017, recognizing her significant contributions to cinema.
